Since everyone seemed to like !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! that I found, here are a few other cars I saw shortly afterwards, two with V12s and one that is slightly too old to be so equipped.
Since it’s very hard to see, the gold car is a 1981 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur MkI, the long wheelbase variant of the Silver Spirit. After a nearly twenty year run, the Silver Spirit/Spur wold be replaced by the Silver Seraph, which would forgo the old 6 3/4 litre V8 for a BMW V12.

It is bitching, but depreciation has only just started with that one.
How about bumping down to a V8 and saving over $40,000?

I feel like you’re implying something about these kinds of cars

If you’re implying that I’m implying that it might spontaneously combust to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars once it gets up into the higher miles then you are completely correct.

How about twin Detroit diesel V12's.

I guess I’ll never own a fancy car.

For me, it’s just a matter of budgeting for repairs. I wouldn’t buy that grey CL550 you posted as the alternative to a Corolla. I’d buy it as the alternative to an off-lease E550 coupe for $47,000 and budget the rest for repairs. Similarly, the $70,000 CL600 I posted is an alternative to spending $90,000+ on a new 650i, and once again, using the rest for maintenance.

I want a CL600 or CL65 so bad...

What about a Mercedes of the 80s or early 90s? Here’s the R129 my buddy picked up for a song ($8250 CAD, or just over $6400 USD).

GM 6 3/4 litre V8
RR V8 is RR. You may be thinking of the transmission. ;-)x

Didn’t want to be

Oh, absolutely I get it. I actually thought it was a GM V8. Anytime I post a factual inaccuracy, be it a typo or something actually wrong like in this case, I want people to correct me.

As the president of oppo’s V12 club, I approve this post.
